Dorner And JLS Automation Team Up For A Sweet Solution Click to View Larger

The Dorner 3200 Series conveyor is well known for its durability in tough applications, but its high speed is increasing customers' output everyday.

Dorner and JLS Automation recently teamed up using the 3200 Series to create an incredibly sophisticated high-speed packaging system for New England Confectionery Company’s (NECCO) conversational hearts at their new 816,000 square foot facility.

The challenge was to prepare boxes of candy hearts for two robots that would package them for shipment. However, the speeds were extreme — up to 500 boxes per minute — and the robots risked being overwhelmed.

The Dorner and JLS solution was to stage the boxes for the robots in an accumulation and then meter them out using the 3200 Series conveyors.

Since the equipment has been delivered and operating, NECCO has seen a boost in production of 20 percent.

In addition to packaging and accumulation, the 3200 Series is engineered to work in a variety of other sanitary and non-sanitary applications. Its low-profile design comes in modular plastic belt, flat-belt end-drive, and cleated-belt end-drive or center-drive models provide the flexibility you need to seamlessly integrate the conveyor system into their equipment.

Fast Sanitation For Demanding Environments

Click to View LargerThe 7600 Ultimate Series delivers fast and effective sanitation in the most demanding environments. Its hygienic design is USDA Accepted Equipment for red meat, poultry and fish including ready-to-eat foods and dairy. It is also ideal for other environments with high-pressure sanitation requirements as well as pharmaceutical and clean rooms.

The hygienically designed, open-frame construction features TIG welds, solid cross members, removable wear strips, and a tip up tail for quick access for cleaning. These all contribute to less downtime and that means higher return-on-investment. In fact, AquaPruf conveyors can be disassembled for cleaning, without tools, in only 30 seconds!

There are no bacteria-harboring hinges or pins, and its positive-driven USDA-approved solid urethane belt delivers smooth, consistent operation in wet, humid environments.

Not only does the 7600 Ultimate Series deliver fast and effective sanitation, delivery is fast, too. Dorner can have the 7600 Ultimate Series on its way to your facility in only seven to 10 days from time of order.
