Field serviceField service
Dorner’s field service professionals and network of factory trained authorized service centers can provide emergency or scheduled field service. Dorner’s commitment to continuous improvement has created several retrofit tail assemblies to provide better bearings, less maintenance, improved features and more durability. All of these add up to increased production. Do your conveyors need a check up? Put Dorner’s experience to work for you. Scheduled down time can be hard to come by and only provide a small window of time for scheduled service and preventative maintenance. Dorner field service experience can help you maximize these opportunities and help eliminate future emergencies. By working with your operators and maintenance staff we can reduce down time by increasing their awareness of preventative maintenance and maintenance know-how to get it done.

Belt Splicing and Spicing Equipment
Belt Splicing and Spicing EquipmentAre belt changes a challenge for you? Dorner manufactures the most portable of portable heat splicing equipment. Many times conveyor belt replacement is made difficult and time consuming because they are buried into machines or complicated by center driven modules, lane guides, diverts and other devices you would rather not mess with. Dorner offers the convenience of replacing the belt with your conveyors in place and intact. This line of patented lightweight portable heat presses is available for rent or purchase and can ship next day air for belts up to 24” wide. Simply attach the new belt to the existing belt and pull it into place. Align the precut fingers within the press using the hold down bars and alignment shims that will insure straightness of your splice and preset the temperature control. You’re done! The air-cooling system will expedite the process and get you up in running in less than 1 hour. Dorner’s portable belt splice finger cutter allows you to replace a damaged section of belt or easily change your conveyor belt length.

Dorner offers a new plastic clipper splice that is at or below the belt surface. This new spice works well were traditional metal clippers would cause damage to accumulated products on the belt. With the pull of a pin the belt can be quickly removed from end drive conveyors.

InstallationInstallation
Having your conveyors installed properly is key to keeping your production running. Many times the conveyors are the last piece to the puzzle when installing new equipment or a new process. With Dorner’s quick delivery on conveyors we can provide the final link to your project and Dorner’s field service team can get it installed properly without delaying your schedule. Whether it is individual conveyors or a turnkey solution, Dorner will work with your schedule and your personnel to provide best solution.

Preventative Maintenance
Dorner has put PM on the shelf by reducing maintenance by design. Dorner has re-engineered all of their products with reduced maintenance and simplistic servicing in mind by utilizing:

  • larger greased for life bearings
  • V-guided belts
  • Improved hollow shaft gear reducer with internal bladder
  • Higher quality motors and gearmotors
  • Simplified design for both center driven and end driven conveyors
  • Improved rack and pinion tensioning

All of these improvements have greatly reduced the need for scheduled maintenance. Contact one of Dorner’s service professionals for maintenance schedules on your equipment or find out what retrofit improvements are available for your equipment.
